Introduction and Objective. Architecture and design solutions profile the environment and living conditions in residential housing and may have an impact on health. The aim of the study was to summarise all published systematic reviews (SRs) with or without meta-analysis (MAs), which assess the effect on cardiovascular disease (CVD) of the architecture, design and physical environment in residential buildings. Materials and method. This study presents the rationale and protocol of an overview of SRs.
