According to James (1984) there are few data available about the status and the distribution of the Storm Petrel in the Mediterranean Sea. Bibliographical research shows us how this species is generally decreasing in the whole Mediterranean, and even disappeared in many breeding sites. Fig. 1 gives the actual situation. We report the following comments.
