Scientific Merits and Analytical Challenges of Tree‐Ring Densitometry
X-ray microdensitometry on annually resolved tree-ring samples has gained an exceptional position in last-millennium paleoclimatology through the maximum latewood density (MXD) parameter, but also increasingly through other density parameters.
