Gastrocriticism: pentru o reinterpretare a poeziei lui Emil Brumaru

2019

Abstract The aim of this essay is to offer a gastrocritical analysis of Emil Brumaru's poetry, taking into consideration the symbolism of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, spices and food in general. The four main parts of the essay are based on the sensuality of the fruits, on the memories brought up by food, on dreams stirred up by spices and on the autochtonous place described by the traditional "zacusca". These, all together, will prove the fact that the gastronomical references in Brumaru's poetry are full of connotations and this is what we will try to identify by the interdisciplinar approach.

Faţete Ale Feminităţii În Dramaturgia Blagiană – (De) Limitări

2020

Abstract The aim of this paper is to identify the way in which Blaga’s feminine characters deconstruct the canon of feminity imposed at the time. This deconstruction is based on the theory of performative gender imposed by Judith Butler, who emphasized the fact that gender is not innate, but rather constructed. In the second part of the essay, in the form of an ecocritical approach, we proved the idea that there is a tight connection between women and nature on the one hand and natural disasters and patriarchy on the other hand.

The aim of this paper is to identify the similarities that can be established between the art of the painter Gustav Klimt, a representative figure for that period and the president of Secession, and the poetry of Blaga. The comparison includes the symbols to be found in the works of the two artists, …
