Data Mining Algorithms for Knowledge Extraction

2020

In this paper, we study the methods, techniques, and algorithms used in data mining, and from the studied algorithms, we emphasized the clustering algorithms, more precisely on the K-means algorithm. This algorithm was first studied using the Euclidean distance, then modifying the distance between the clusters using the distances Mahalanobis and Canberra. After implementing the algorithms in C/C++, we compared the clustering of the three algorithms, after which we modified them and studied the distance between the clusters.

THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT IN ROMANIA’S PARTICIPATION IN DIGITAL ECONOMY

2012

To participate in the digital economy, for a nation, it is imperative the need to adopt ICT, but not only at companies and individuals levels but also on the entire society. The national ICT adoption is significant especially in sustainable economic development of Romania. The degree to which Romania join the digital economy is influenced by measures and policies adopted by the government. The Government should facilitate, motivate and support the adoption of ICT at all three levels: individual, entrepreneurial and governmental. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MOBILE COMPUTATIONAL ARCHITECTURE

2012

Mobile devices have the necessary capabilities to provide services that assure security of the communication and integration of contextual information about the nodes (e.g. location, status, etc). Also, this service provides information about the QoS (quality of services) that allows devices to select the efficient communication method (e.g., SMS, GPRS, Bluetooth, etc). These devices are capable to access other devices and resources published by the Grid system, such as routing services that hold metadata and auxiliary information, or emergency services.
