Odontogenic tumors in Western India (Gujarat): analysis of 209 cases

Objective: Odontogenic tumors show a distinct geographic variation. In 2005 a new WHO classification was published which included odontogenic keratocyst as one of the odontogenic tumors, renaming it as a keratocystic odontogenic tumor. To our knowledge there are only few studies based on 2005 classification in Asian subcontinent. This study was done to determine the relative frequency of odontogenic tumors in Gujarat and compare it with reports from other parts of the world. Study Design: A retrospective study was designed.
