Learning Automaton Based On-Line Discovery and Tracking of Spatio-temporal Event Patterns

2010

Published version of an article from the book: Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2010, Volume 6230/2010, 327-338. The original publication is available at Springerlink. http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-15246-7_31 Discovering and tracking of spatio-temporal patterns in noisy sequences of events is a difficult task that has become increasingly pertinent due to recent advances in ubiquitous computing, such as community-based social networking applications. The core activities for applications of this class include the sharing and notification of events, and the importance and usefulness of these functionalites increases as event-sharing expands into larger areas of one’s life. Ironically, …

Determinants of the Quality of Warfarin Control after Venous Thromboembolism and Validation of the SAMe-TT2-R2 Score: An Analysis of Hokusai-VTE.

2019

Background Time in therapeutic range (TTR) measures the quality of vitamin K antagonist (VKA) anticoagulation. In patients with atrial fibrillation, the dichotomized SAMe-TT2-R2 score (≥2 vs. < 2 points) can predict if adequate TTR is unlikely to be achieved. Aims We validated the SAMe-TT2-R2 score in patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE) randomized to the warfarin arm of the Hokusai-VTE trial. Patients and Methods A total of 3,874 patients were included in the primary analysis (day 31–180 from randomization). The efficacy and safety outcomes were symptomatic recurrent VTE and major or clinically relevant non-major bleeding. Results The rates of recurrent VTE and bleeding events we…

Handling Relations in a Ubiquitous Computing Environments

2009

Masteroppgave i informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi 2009 – Universitetet i Agder, Grimstad This thesis is submitted in partially fulfillment of the requirement for the degree of Master in ICT at Faculty of Engineering and Science at University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway. The Master project documented in this thesis is a part of Ericsson‐UiA cooperative research on handling relations between people in the ubiquitous computing environments. First of all, we would like to thank Dean’s Prof. Frank Reichert for introducing us to the fascinating field of mobile services. We benefit a lot from his valuable academic and industrial experience and insightful comments on our project work. Then, w…
