Sparassidae from Japan. II. First Pseudopoda species and new Sinopoda species (Araneae: Sparassidae: Heteropodinae)
The genus Pseudopoda is recorded for the first time from Japan. Pseudopoda kasariana sp. nov. (_??_, _??_) and Pseudopoda spirembolus sp. nov. (_??_, _??_) are described from Amami-oshima Island and Okinawajima Island respectively. Four new Sinopoda species are described: Sinopoda albofasciata (_??_), Sinopoda derivata (_??_, _??_), Sinopoda ogatai (_??_, _??_) and Sinopoda stellatops (_??_, _??_). Sinopoda koreana (Paik 1968) is recorded for the first time from Japan. New records of Sinopoda okinawana Jager & Ono 2000 and S. tanikawai Jager & Ono 2000 are presented. A new species of the spider genus Synaema SIMON, 1864, from Japan is described under the name of Synaema chikunii. This spider was found in the mountainous regions of Honshu and Hokkaido.
Sparassidae of Japan. I. New Species of Olios, Heteropoda, and Sinopoda, with Notes on Some Known Species (Araneae: Sparassidae: Sparassinae and Heteropodinae)
Four new species of the spider family Sparassidae are described from Japan under the names Olios japonicus sp. nov., Heteropoda simplex sp. nov., Sinopoda okinawana sp. nov. and S. tanikawai sp. nov. The genus Olios is recorded for the first time from Japan. Taxonomical notes and new records of some known species and comments on diagnostic characters of the subfamilies and genera of the Japanese Sparassidae are presented.
Crab spiders of the families Thomisidae and Philodromidae (Arachnida: Araneae) from Iran
Spiders of the families Thomisidae and Philodromidae (Arachnida, Araneae) mainly collected in the mountainous areas of Iran in 1978 are taxonomically studied and classified into 21 species of 10 genera. Most species are illustrated and described on the basis of the present specimens. Except for only two species, Xysticus kulczynskii Wierzbicki 1902 and Synaema globosum (Fabricius 1775), already known from this country, 19 species are new records to the Iranian fauna. REVISION JAPANISCHER SPINNEN I.
Nach der Untersuchung der in europaischen Museen aufbewahrten Typus-Sammlungen japanischer Spinnen wurden die folgenden Synonymien festgestellt: Theridion ferrumequinum BOSENBERG et STRAND, 1906 (Theridium meum BOSENBERG et STRAND, 1906, n. Syn.), Hypsosinga sanguinea (C.L. KOCH, 1845) (Theridium hilgendorfi KARSCH, 1879, n. Syn.) und Tetragnatha praedonia L. KOCH, 1878 (Tetragnatha nigrita niccensis STRAND, 1906, n. Syn.). Auserdem wurde erkannt, das die von LEHTINEN (1967) als Synonym des chinesischen Coelotes modestus SIMON, 1880, bezeichnete japanische Art Coelotes corasides (BOSENBERG et STRAND, 1906) eine selbstandige Art und von der chinesischen verschiedene Art ist.
First records of the genera Pseudopoda, Sinopoda, and Olios from Taiwan with descriptions of four new species (Araneae: Sparassidae)
Four new species of the spider family Sparassidae are described from Taiwan: Pseudopoda serrata sp. nov. (male and females), Pseudopoda recta sp. nov. (female), Sinopoda exspectata sp. nov. (male), and Olios scalptor sp. nov. (male). These represent first records of the three genera for Taiwan. A record of Heteropoda venatoria (Linne 1767) is also reported.
