In this paper we study some archaeological materials found in the Roman site of El Plano (Castellón). Although today is almost entirely destroyed by agricultural work, some of the pieces studied said they were equipped with thermal baths, so it should be a settlement of some importance. Moreover ceramics collected allows occupation dating from the I to IV century AD. This is the first Roman site that has been studied in the district of Alto Mijares.

Se presentan un conjunto de piezas arqueológicas de época ibérica y romana conservadas en el Palacio-Castillo de Betxí (Plana Baixa, Castelló), con toda probabilidad recopiladas por Pascual Meneu entre finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX, al tiempo que se propone su procedencia en determinados yacimientos arqueológicos del término municipal. Posteriormente se analiza la figura de Pascual Meneu y sus aportaciones dentro del contexto de la arqueología de la época.
