Master´s thesis in Advanced Teacher Education (NO505) The theme of this master's thesis is fantastic literature and sustainability. In the thesis, I analyze and interpret how new readings of fantasyliterature can contribute to the discussion of environmental and sustainability issues in the Norwegian subject. By studying three novels byAstrid Lindgren the thesis tries to investigate how fantasyliterature and material ecocriticism can add new readings. My motivation for writing this thesisis the increasing focus on sustainability in the Norwegian subject in school.
