The buildings of the Tifeo Augusta Power Station (SR) significantly tell us, even today, the history of the Sicilian industrial dream at the end of the Fifties. However, with the passing of time, it revealed the underlying contradictions still present today in Augusta together with polluting and oppressive petrochemical plants built during those times. La ricerca prova ad attuare una riflessione rispetto al problematico tema del riuso, con l’intento di tradurla in innovazione. Per molte architetture che vengono individuate come manufatti d’interesse storico, a volte, il solo riconoscimento come monumento non corrisponde a una reale forma di tutela del manufatto e a questo non consegue una adeguata previsione funzionale.
