Nonostante le sue ridotte dimensioni, Linosa presenta un’estrema complessità, legata soprattutto al diverso periodo di abbandono delle colture agrarie terrazzate che un tempo caratterizzavano un’ampia porzione dell’isola. Gran parte del suo territorio presenta tuttora livelli di naturalità da discreti a eccezionali, soprattutto per via dell’integrità delle comunità legate alle rocce affioranti ed ai substrati incoerenti di natura vulcanica. È probabile che l’origine vulcanica dei suoli di Linosa fa sì che l’intensa trasformazione del suo paesaggio naturale, testimoniata dai terrazzamenti che si spingono sulle pendici dei monti, non abbia del tutto eliminato la presenza di lembi più o meno c…

In observance of the criteria stated in the previous section > and the studies carried out on the natural and agriculture heritage the intervention consistend on the plaintinf of some Lampedusa's spontaneous shrubs propagated by Lagambiente or by the nursery of the Regional Rural and Territorial Department of the Sicilian Region (formerly Regional Forestry Office Department).
