Master's thesis in Sociology and social work (ME524) This thesis mainly centers around associate professors and what they express to be their core personal values with respect to work and life, in general, where these values are discussed in a gender perspective. Fewer women, than men, reach professorship at universities, and men on average also achieve this academic goal faster than women. The relationship between this gender imbalance and the personal values is the focal point of the discussion.
