Cloning and characterization of Scavidin, a fusion protein for the targeted delivery of biotinylated molecules.

We have constructed a novel fusion protein "Scavidin" consisting of the macrophage scavenger receptor class A and avidin. The Scavidin fusion protein is transported to plasma membranes where the avidin portion of the fusion protein binds biotin with high affinity and forms the basis for the targeted delivery of biotinylated molecules. Subcellular fractionation analysis, immunostaining, and electron microscopy demonstrated endosomal localization of the fusion protein. According to pulse-labeling and cross-linking studies Scavidin is found as monomers (55 kDa), dimers, and multimers, of which the 220-kDa form was the most abundant. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää lapsen vaikean temperamentin, vanhemman psyykkisen hyvinvoinnin ja vanhemmuustyylien välisiä yhteyksiä. Erityisenä kiinnostuksen kohteena oli tutkia vanhemman psyykkisen hyvinvoinnin muuntavia ja välittäviä vaikutuksia lapsen vaikean temperamentin ja vanhemmuustyylien välillä. Tutkimus toteutettiin osana laajempaa Vanhemmat, opettajat ja lapsen oppiminen -tutkimushanketta. Tutkimus perustui poikkileikkausasetelmaan, ja siinä oli mukana 152 ensimmäistä luokkaa käyvää lasta sekä heidän vanhempansa (152 äitiä ja 118 isää). This report presents results of research done in the WaterPro project New processes of the circular economy in water and wastewater treatment. In this project, water treatment solutions based on material streams produced as sidestreams or wastestreams of industrial processes or mining were researched and developed. These materials were modified for use as adsorbents or precipitation chemicals for water treatment solutions aiming to remove nutrients or metals. Materials such as paper mill sludge, slag, fly ash, jarosite, analcime, and brucite were used.
