Master´s thesis in Primary Teacher Education In this master’s thesis,I want to explore how the picture book can function as a door opener to conversations. I will to take a closer look at picture books with controversial topics, and how they can be used in conversations in the classroom. The picture books I have chosen for this thesis arenamed Dragenand Krigen, and are authored by Gro Dahle and Svein Nyhus and Gro Dahle and Kaia Dahle Nyhus.
