An open system to generate hyperspectral cubes for skin optical reflectance analysis
International audience; Optical visible light analysis of the skin mainly relies on RGB colour imaging. Multispectral imaging of human skin represents a more accurate approach for in vivo analysis of its optical properties. Few dermatology-oriented multispectral devices have been hitherto developed. Their diagnostic abilities for pigmentary tumors or other clinical applications are still being evaluated [1]. We have developed a multispectral imaging system for in-vivo skin optical analysis. It is based on a charge-coupled device camera, a rotating wheel with a set of seven interference filters and a computer. All interference filters were chosen specifically to cover the visible spectrum ra…
Spatial Rules through Spatial Rule built-ins in SWRL
International audience; The paper presents a method to include spatial rule within rule languages like SWRL to infer spatial rules within semantic web framework. The concept presented here could benefit both geospatial community as they benefit using the adjusted knowledge base to infer spatial rule and semantic web community as the inclusion of spatial data in its framework
ArchaeoKM: Managing Archaeological data through Archaeological Knowledge
International audience; Nowadays, the use of ontologies in the field of the archaeology is a new direction of research that is not fully tested. Some results are very encouraging and challenge the vision of archaeological sites which cannot be modeled semantically. Most of the re-searches based on ontology technologies in the arc-haeology domain are based on the research of finding on a common ground for the interoperability and the integration of data. Papers like (LANG 2009), (KOLLIAS 2008) cover these research. The project ArchaeoKM is a shift from such researches. It focus-es on using the knowledge possessed by the archaeo-logists to model the data of an archaeological project, and to d…

Automatic cell nuclei counting: a protocol to acquire images and to compare results between color and multispectral images
International audience; High-throughput screening in histology and analysis need a necessary automatic cell or nucleus counting. Current methods and systems based on grayscale or color images give results with counting errors. We suggest to use multispectral imaging (with more than three bands) rather than color one for nucleus counting. A traditional acquisition chains uses a source of white light and a CCD camera in addition to the optical microscope. To pass to a multispectral acquisition, we use a Programmable Light Source (PLS) in the place of the white light source. This PLS is capable of generating different wavelengths in the visible spectrum. So, one color image and four multispect…
