This research focuses on small and medium sized enterprises in Finland’s Central Ostrobothnia region as constructors of identity and welfare for their operating environment. To investigate the phenomenon I apply a discourse analytic and constructionist approach. The study material is derived from the SMEs’ www pages, which were subjected to a rhetorical analysis. I base my conclusions on the organizational discourses emerging from the homepages and the identities constructed therein.
