This doctoral thesis seeks to deepen the understanding of the factors that contribute to a firm’s growth from the perspective of the entrepreneur’s personality. The empirical data for this study was gathered through survey questionnaires distributed to members of entrepreneur organizations in Central Finland, Southern Ostrobothnia and Savonia (n=120, females 37%, males 63%, average age 50 years). The respondents were primarily founders of their own firms and approximately half worked in the service sector.
