New β-Lactam-β-Lactamase Inhibitor Combinations.

The limited armamentarium against drug-resistant Gram-negative bacilli has led to the development of several novel β-lactam-β-lactamase inhibitor combinations (BLBLIs). In this review, we summarize their spectrum of in vitro activities, mechanisms of resistance, and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) characteristics. A summary of available clinical data is provided per drug. Four approved BLBLIs are discussed in detail. Ar veselības aprūpi saistīto infekciju rādītāji un riska raksturojums jaundzimušo intensīvās terapijas nodaļās

Tika veikts aprakstošs prospektīvs divu etapu infekciju uzraudzības un gadījumu kontroles pētījums Acinetobacter baumannii (A.baumannii) uzliesmojumam divās Jaundzimušo intensīvās terapijas nodaļās (ITN). Šāds pētījums Latvijā norisinājās pirmo reizi. Darba mērķis bija raksturot Jaundzimušo ITN ar veselības aprūpi saistīto infekciju rādītājus Paula Stradiņa Klīniskajā universitātes slimnīcā (PSKUS) dzimušiem jaundzimušajiem. Ar veselības aprūpi saistīto infekciju kumulatīvā incidence Jaundzimušo ITN bija 25,3 uz 100 pacientiem.
