Bounds on the strength of DELTA.I = 1/2 weak amplitudes

Upper bounds to the strength of non-leptonic K-decay amplitudes with DeltaI = {1}/{2} are derived from first principles: perturbative QCD at very short distances and effective chiral perturbation theory at very long distances.
