Superficial vein thrombosis (SVT) is commonly encountered in clinical practice. Recent studies have suggested that the concomitant presence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE) at the time of SVT diagnosis is not uncommon, thus increasing the interest on this disease.
