Réinventer le conte

In Les Contes du chat perché, Marcel Aymé is rewriting the traditional tale, and, in the same time, he is creating a new form. If it produces an " effect of tale " , by taking back a treatment of temporality, type of structure borrowed from tradition, it creates a new form of tale, stamped by any didactisme, much literarier in its effects, notably by the treatment of the figure. However, even if the texts show an imagination which is clean to Marcel Aymé, the treatment of the marvellous rests basically that of tale.
