In clinical oncology, tumor markers are a valuable tool in therapy monitoring of tumor patients as well as for primary diagnosis. In renal cell carcinoma a number of tumor associated antigens were described which may also be expressed in normal kidney epithelium (Bander et al. 1983; Bander 1984; Moon et al. 1982; Oosterwijk et al. 1987a, b; Ueda 1981).
