During the last twenty years, under the impetus of Patrice Méniel, the number of archaeozoological studies of Iron Age sites in the Ile de France region has greatly increased. Even though there are still certain blanks, we can make a first assessment of the results already obtained.

Une base de données sur les études de faunes des établissements ruraux en Gaule

International audience; Une base de données nationale des études de faune, issues des établissements ruraux gaulois, esquisse, à partir de 272 fiches portant sur 200 sites, une première série de synthèses sur l'élevage en Gaule. Les conditions de mise en place de la base ainsi que la description de ses différents champs sont détaillées avec une première application sur la chasse. Des présentations sur les distributions chronologiques, régionales et hiérarchiques de l'élevage permettent de distinguer des ensembles. D'autres approches, enfin, combinant types de structure, entités géographiques, chronologie ou encore âge d'abattage des espèces, synthétisent les modalités de gestion des mammifè…
