Process Drama Based Information Management for Assessment and Classification in Learning

In this chapter we present a formal description of information management for assessment and classification in learning. The description is supported by a structure related to drama process for learning. Our logic follows the idea of invoking uncertainties using underlying categories, and the language of processes in ‘drama process’ is taken to be BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation).

Fuzzy Relational Mathematical Morphology: Erosion and Dilation

In the recent years, the subject if fuzzy mathematical morphology entered the field of interest of many researchers. In our recent paper [23], we have developed the basis of the (unstructured) L-fuzzy relation mathematical morphology where L is a quantale. In this paper we extend it to the structured case. We introduce structured L-fuzzy relational erosion and dilation operators, study their basic properties, show that under some conditions these operators are dual and form an adjunction pair. Basing on the topological interpretation of these operators, we introduce the category of L-fuzzy relational morphological spaces and their continuous transformations.

Synthesis of Sterically Hindered Chiral 1,4-Diols from Different Lignan-Based Backbones

Methods for synthetic modifications of the natural dibenzylbutyrolactone lignan hydroxymatairesinol into chiral 1,4-diols with different lignan-derived backbones have been developed. A stepwise procedure, involving alkylation and oxidation, was shown to be successful and several highly substituted 1,4-diols were prepared. Some substituted butyrolactones resisted alkylation and led to the formation unusually stable hemiketals (butyrolactols). The formation of stable hemiketals was investigated in detail, showing that different backbone structures influence the formation and reactivity of the hemiketals.

Synthetic transformation of hydroxymatairesinol from Norway spruce (Picea abies) to 7-hydroxysecoisolariciresinol, (+)-lariciresinol and (+)-cyclolariciresinol

We have developed a method for the transformation of hydroxymatairesinol to optically pure (+)-lariciresinol and (+)-cyclolariciresinol via the hitherto unreported lignan 7-hydroxysecoisolariciresinol. The two naturally occurring isomers of hydroxymatairesinol were reduced with LiAlH4 to a mixture of two epimers of 7-hydroxysecoisolariciresinol, which were further selectively transformed to (+)-lariciresinol and (+)-cyclolariciresinol by an acid catalysed intramolecular cyclisation reaction. The proposed next phase of ARIA is change management, with the aim of providing an active and healthy life to patients with rhinitis and to those with asthma multimorbidity across the lifecycle irrespective of their sex or socioeconomic status to reduce health and social inequities incurred by the disease. Isomerism of [64Cu-NOTA-Bn]-labeled radiotracers: separation of two complex isomers and determination of their interconversion energy barrier using ion pair chromatography.

The model complex [(64)Cu((S)-p-NH(2)-Bn-NOTA)](-) ([(64)Cu]1) was used to study the isomerism of [(64)Cu-NOTA-Bn]-labeled radiotracers. Two complex isomers [(64)Cu]1a and [(64)Cu]1b, which were formed at a ratio of 1:9 during the complexation of [(64)Cu]Cu(2+) with (S)-p-NH(2)-Bn-NOTA, were separated using ion pair chromatography. To study the interconversion, the nonradioactive complex isomers Cu1a and Cu1b were separated and thermally treated at 90 °C in both ammonium acetate solution and deionized water. Some very low death rate countries such as Eastern Asia, Central Europe, or the Balkans have a common feature of eating large quantities of fermented foods. Although biases exist when examining ecological studies, fermented vegetables or cabbage have been associated with low death rates in European countries.
