Master's thesis in Industrial economics and technology management (IND590) Best Value Procurement (BVP) is an innovative procurement method that aims to shift the focus from price to quality when selecting suppliers. The method is new in Norway, and Direktoratet for forvaltning og økonomistyring (DFØ) facilitates the testing of the method in the public sector. From conversations with employees in the construction industry, it emerged that traditional contracts tend to lock the rules early in the project.
