Master´s thesis in English (EN502) The purpose of this thesis has been to investigate how English academic writing instruction in Norway is perceived by upper secondary students, and how it is carried out from their point of view as a support to improve their academic writing skills. The following was the research question for my thesis: What do students in Norwegian upper secondary school know about writing academic English, and how do they practice writing English as a preparation for higher education?
