These virtual teams are groups of people who work together without the boundaries of time or space using technology (Lipnack & Stamps 2000, 18). Intranetin vaikutukset organisaation sisäiseen viestintään

Tämä tutkielma käsittelee intranetjärjestelmiä ja niiden vaikutuksia organisaation sisäiseen viestintään. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan viestintää ja intranetejä yhdessä sekä erikseen. Ilman viestintää ei organisaatio voi toimia. Organisaation sisäistä viestintää kutsutaan monesti yhteisöviestinnäksi tai organisaatioviestinnäksi. Tehokkaan viestinnän avulla organisaatio voi saavuttaa merkittäviä etuja. Intranetjärjestelmien avulla voidaan tehostaa organisaation viestintää. Intranetit ja niiden osat ovat olemukseltaan viestintävälineitä, eivätkä itsessään tehosta viestintää.
