description

Involving about 300 people, in the fields of physics, chemistry-physics as well as materials engineering associated with mechanical engineering, the ICB laboratory embodies at the best level the research ambitions of the CNRS in Burgundy Franche-Comté (BFC), of the University of Burgundy, of the University of Technology of Belfort Montbéliard and, through these universities, of the University Burgundy Franche-Comté (UBFC) federation. The main scientific orientations of the laboratory are carried out by 6 departments (quantum interactions and control; photonics; nanoscience; mechanical design, optimization and modelling; metallurgical processes and materials durability; interfaces) and 4 technological platforms (Applications, Research and Characterisation at the Nanoscale (ARCEN); Platform for Innovation and Design for Analysis and Simulation of Optical Systems (PICASSO); ComputaTIonal inTelligence in design and mANufacturing platform (TITAN); Sintering and Lasers: Applications, Innovation and Research (FLAIR)).
