Cancerdescription
One of the main objectives of InDeST is to help in the development of new therapies and diagnostic methods in cancer. For this, they have a large clinical and research team. For almost a decade, there has been a significant increase in studies related to digestive tract cancer and its treatment, as shown by various clinical guidelines disseminated at a European and global level. Therefore, the development of new drugs and their testing in clinical trials is one of their main lines of research. InDeST also focus on the study and identification of new prognostic and predictive biomarkers using liquid biopsy, with particular interest in the analysis of circulating free tumor DNA (ctDNA) and circulating tumor cells (CTC) for the characterization of minimal residual disease. Likewise, InDeST studies the prognostic and predictive value of using a radiomic model based on artificial intelligence in this group of patients. Finally, InDeST uses of organoid models generated from tumor cells (or normal tissue) from the patient themselves for molecular characterization of the disease and drug testing is another one of our priorities.
