Among the sacraments that their ordinances were renewed as a result and order of the Second Vatican Council, the sacrament of Marriage was one of them. The new celebration of the this sacrament was to active that the rite „more clearly point out sacraments grace and duties of the spouses”. An integral part of the solemn celebration is music. It’s main task is to „sing” with the word and sound the mystery that is the core of Marriage – the spousal love of Christ to His Church. In sacramental rituals, only the music created for them, being on services of the liturgy, is able to communicate the spiritual and theological content of the rites. Unfortunately, the weakening faith of Christians becomes the cause of the introduction to the sacred celebration repertoire form from the circle of secular music, popular hits, often in the form of Polish, religious transcriptions, characterized by tenderness of the plate, or pilgrim songs, completely incompatible with the worship of God. The commitment to preparing young people for the sacrament of Marriage, which includes liturgical catechesis, in which liturgical music has it’s lasting place and a great role to play, has become an enormous challenge for priests and, at the same time, an effective form of new evangelization.
