This book presents the current trends and results of school effectiveness research in several countries in the world, from all continents. The chapter devoted to France offers a synthesis of research in this country on school effectiveness and process. It dwells on the specificities of French approaches (more emphasis on academic social inequalities,for instance) and results (a less important effect of schoolheads role, of teachers coordination) and also on what could be inspiring for other countries.
