Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tavoitteena on tutkia opetusvideoiden käyttämistä toisen asteen ammatillisten perustutkintojen opetuksessa. Tutkimuksessa selvitetään kuinka opiskelijat kokevat videoiden käyttämisen opetuksessa. Lisäksi tutkitaan opettajien mielipiteitä videoiden hyödyntämisestä opetuksessa ja onko heillä osaamista ja motivaatiota oman video-opetusmateriaalin tuottamiseen. Tutkimuksen tiedonkeruu tehtiin kahtena erillisenä kyselytutkimuksena ja tutkimusmenetelminä olivat kvantitatiivinen ja kvalitatiivinen tutkimus. Tutkimuksen tulosten mukaan sekä opiskelijat, että opettajat suhtautuivat myönteisesti videoiden käyttämiseen opetuksessa ja heillä oli myös kokemuksia videoiden opetuskäytöstä. Opettajat uskoivat, että opetusvideot saavat jatkossa suuremman merkityksen opetusmenetelmien joukossa. He olisivat halukkaita myös itse tuottamaan opetusvideoita mutta heillä ei ole riittävää osaamista niiden tekemiseen. The aim of this Master’s thesis is to study the use of teaching videos in vocational upper secondary qualification. The study examines how students experience the use of video in teaching. In addition, teachers’ opinions on the use of video in teaching and their ability and motivation to produce their own video teaching material. The survey data collection was made in two separate questionnaires and the research methods were quantitative and qualitative research. According to the results of the study, both students and teachers welcomed the use of video in teaching and they also had experience in using video tutorials. Teachers believed that video tutorials will gain greater significance among teaching methods in the future. They would also be willing to produce teaching videos themselves, but they do not have the skills to do them.
