A new hybrid of the genus Dianthus (Caryophyllaceae), D. × ossetianus is described coming from the hybridization between D. broteri subsp. valentinus and D. edetanus. A morphological description is reported, emphasizing the main diagnostic characters which allow the separation from its parent taxa. This hybrid has been found at the provinces of Castellón and Valencia.
