«Huc usque, me miseram» (CB 126) is one of the most interesting poems of the «Carmina Burana». We can find in it at least three elements of big suggestion: 1) the theme of the pregnancy; 2) the choice of a girl as spokeswoman; 3) the subject of the "absentia" of the lover. In this paper a strict analysis of the text and of its literary, metrical, rhetorical characteristics is produced, with some considerations about the theme of the “female voice” and a particular attention to the topics that occur in the poem and the relations with the contemporary French lyric (for example, the “chanson de femme”). The appendix then shows the relations between CB 126 and the “letter of the pregnant woman” which we can read in Boncompagnus of Signa’s «Rota Veneris».
