Caused by main types of the crisis give the impulse to break the limits that reduce accommodation abilities of family and marriage scheme to a new situations and challenges brought by social and cultural life. The activity of Diocesan Family Counselling in Opole is inscribed in that perspective. The institution is one of the leading centres of marriage and family support run by the Catholic Church in Poland. In 2018 over 360 people were seen in this Counselling Centre at almost 2 thousand appointments in the scope of psychological counselling, individual therapy, marriage and family therapy, law counselling and a therapy for addicted and co-addicted people. At the beginning the article presents positive understanding of critical situations, then outlines current challenges and difficulties in the Opole voivodeship and finally brings closer the methodology of work in Diocesan Family Counselling in Opole.
