International audience; The research on the metallic hoards is symbolic of the Metal Ages of Europe, the progress operated by the metallurgy since the Neolithic seems inseparable of these practices of alienation of metallic items. Their symbolism seems all the more important as these practices are observable on the whole European territory during all the Protohistory.A Thesis work is in progress to try to interpret these hoards during the Iron Age in University of Burgundy. It brought to the creation of an inventory of 890 deposits in terrestrial or wet environment. From wich, we suggest during this communication to compare the practices of the continental domain with those from the Atlantic Coast. It’s an analysis already introduced for the Bronze Age period, but that reserves some surprises for the Iron period.
