Unconventional micro-geophysics for engineering and cultural heritage artifacts
Pietro Cosentinosubject
.description
Some of the unconventional micro-geophysical investigations that have been implemented and/or assessed in the frame of the activity for engineering and cultural heritage studies are here presented. In particular the investigations were carried out using different tomographic 2D and 3D methodologies: ultrasonic and electromagnetic (radar) waves, electric potential field and IR termography. The results suggest that that there will be further improvements in the future, so that the application of these methodologies will be used even more to diagnose, monitor and safeguard both engineering as well as cultural patrimonies.
