Abroad there are several archaeological sites that make value to the remains of antiquity proposing customs and traditions of the past. the archaeological park of Xanten in germany, opened in 1977 and continually renewed, is an outstanding cultural monument of the Roman world. the remains of the original buildings, the vast repertoire of interventions, the numerous life-size reconstructions, the protective covers, the various recreational activities and the newest museum invite to a journey in the ancient Roman colony and represent a forceful example of archaeological valorisation.
