The author of this article has diagnosed the place of modern schools in the era of cyber education. She has made the presentation of a discourse space which concerns the role of cyber technology in the processes of education for the 21st century. It is a presentation of different — often ambivalent — views, however ascribing electronic technołogies important place in the educational proces of acontemporary man. The author points out that not all fashionable multimedia have an innovative impact on educational technology, because, de facto, they duplicate conventional ways of learning using new and fashionable technołogies. The conclusion of the considerations contained in the article is the statement that: Contemporary didactic media (appealing to the younger generation) and the contexts of civilizations „force” the school and the teachers to use them in the processes of education. They affect enhancing the attractweness and quality of education - which the author has proved with her own research results that are an integral part of the article.
