International audience; Factors determining educational readings of teachers / Teachers have been accused of "educational illiteracy", though an active minority of them read intensely. Trying to go beyond these statements, this article takes into account actual educational practices and presents the most relevant results of an inquiry on teachers reading in education. Based on the assumption that belonging to a network would be the strongest factor determining reading practices, it shows that these practices significantly differ according to the type of network concerned. They also seem to vary in relation to some of individual teacher characteristics more than in relation to this representations and projects.
