description

The paper attempte to present issues coming from the raanagement and personality psychology, including their implications for company management practices and for their impact on spocialists well-being and a ąuality of life. The research, based on Ryan and Deci concept, cuncerns the psychological needs, adaptation (Rotter) and hierarchical valucs (Rokeach) of spocialists. It was assumed that the sense of the quality of life would reveal asignificant relationahip with personality-relatcd and axiological dimensions among spocialists. It was hypothesized that a positive correlation between independent porsonolity-related variables distinguished in the personality and axiologica) MOA model for the sense of the quality of life can be observed such as the strncture of personality: competence, relntionships, autonomy, adaptation and professional achievements. A positive correlation between independent axiological variables: final and instrumsntal values was also assumed. The coeffiofcntof determination was equal to 47% of variance of the dependent variable - the quality of life in the structural model. More than half of the variability of results of perceived quality of life can be explained by personality and values. These values for women equaled 48% and for men - 39%. Discussing the obtained results the significance ascribed by specialstis to the following dimensions: adaptation, competence and relacinnships for the quality of life has to be emphasized.
