Among the several issues raised by the Coronavirus pandemic in the private law field, this contribution investigates the destiny of periodical contracts for the supply of work and services in case the obligor has offered the obligee an alternative performance, similar to the original one, but provided online instead of live. Moving from such practical problem, the contribution intends to suggest a reflection on the obligee?s right to refuse the alternative performance, thus provoking the termination of the relationship, and on the limits it bears in light of a systematic and solidarity-oriented reading of obligations law
