Master's thesis in Health informatics (HSI500) Background: Structuring the electronic health record is highlighted as a key prerequisite for achieving the goals described in the white paper «Én innbygger-én journal». The work of developing structured information in electronic patient records will require close collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure that the work processes are communicated and considered in the development process. Purpose: Structured clinical information will be searchable and enables extraction for primary and secondary use. Healthcare professionals' participation in the development process is important to facilitate their work processes.
