Il saggio ricostruisce il percorso di riappropriazione dell'identità ebraica di Arnold Schoenberg, facendo riferimento - in modo particolare - agli eventi che hanno determinato la conversione all'ebraismo, agli scritti politici del 1933-38, all'epistolario con Thomas Mann durante l'esilio negli Stati Uniti e alla genesi e concezione poetica e musicale di A survivor from Warsaw op. 46 (1947). The essay reconstructs the path of re-appropriation of Arnold Schoenberg's Jewish identity, referring - in particular - to the events that led to the conversion to Judaism, to the political writings of 1933-38, to the correspondence with Thomas Mann during the exile in the United States and the genesis and poetic and musical conception of A survivor from Warsaw op. 46 (1947).
