The authorities have quickly developed a keen interest in television. The army, in particular, used it in order to build and promote its image in Spanish society. In spite of, the army doesn’t succeed to finish with its traditional isolation, neither to put to stop to its bad reputation. Indeed, the Spanish television emphasized the melodramatic dimension and the menacing presence of the army.
