Osteomía proximal de la tibia: fijación con tutor tubular AO

Entre enero de 1988 y diciembre de 1993 se realizaron 64 osteotomías valguizantes infratuberositarias fijadas con tutor tubular AO en 61 pacientes portadores de genu varo artrósico. La edad promedio fue de 48 años. La corrección obtenida se mantuvo hasta la consolidación que se verificó en promedio a las 7 semanas. Se discute la selección de pacientes, los detalles de planificación preoperatoria y de técnica quirúrgica, analizándose rehabilitación postoperatoria, resultados y complicaciones del método. Sixty-four valgus infratuberositary osteotomies using tubular AO device were performed between January 1988 and December 1993 in 61 patients with osteoarthritis and genu varus. The average age was 48 years. The achieved correction was mantained until consolidation. This occurred in an average time of 7 weeks. The selection of patients, the preoperative planning, together with the surgical technique, are discussed. The postoperative treatment, results and complications of the method are analyzed.
