The aim of this article is to underline the doctrinal peculiarities of Anglicanism through examination of the 39 Articles of religion. Unlike other coeval protestant confessions of faith, the genesis of the 39 Articles was eminently dictated by political reasons, that is to say the reinforcement of the English monarchy through the pursuit of religious unity in the Country
