Tessera con epígrafe M•ACI MAX y su posible identificación

This paper aims to study a monetary piece or tessera with an inscription, M•ACI MAX, allusive to an unknown character. It was reviewed in the Hispanic section of the RPC Supp. I-III and until now no one has pronounced in an explicit way about it. The parallels we have found, both epigraphic and numismatic, suggest that it is a southeastern or eastern Hispanic tessera, possibly related to mining activities. Its chronology is less problematic, a late republican date being acceptable.
