description

I am going to describe the progress of my dissertation process from a phenomenological perspective. I will lean on Ivan Illich’s ideas about the challenges of education and learning. Along with Ivan Illich’s thoughts, I will also view Paulo Freire’s ideas about a learner as an active actor pursuing controlling his/her own life and awareness — as a subject. Freire’s thoughts lead my work to consider supervision as a dialogue. At the same time, I deliberate the significance of finding one’s own way for a doctoral student.
